Furutani Potters was established in 1970 by Nobuo Furutani. By applying white slip to our unique blend of iron-rich red clay and firing it twice at low temperatures, we create soft, powdered vessels. The "white" of our powdered ceramics is rustic and warm. It gently embraces any dish and pairs perfectly with other tableware. Additionally, guided by the theme "accompanying daily life," we subtly adapt our designs to fit various lifestyles, including food culture and living spaces. We create our pieces daily, believing that our simple and easy-to-use ceramics will surely enrich your life.
