Moved to Sendai due to a company transfer. Coincidentally, I encountered pottery, and after two or three years of contemplation, wanting to become a potter, I resigned from a major corporation. While aiming to become a potter, I honed my sales skills and was able to rent a studio in Zao, which led me to Shiroishi City, Miyagi Prefecture. I am dedicated to expressing the beauty of nature in "Ao" (blue).
Beyond pottery, I am involved in supporting high school students' research and community development, valuing dialogue with people through pottery, and striving to bring happiness to those I interact with.

The beauty of nature is my theme. Precisely because I am largely self-taught, I am dedicated to expressing various landscapes such as "lakes," "skies," and "seas" in ceramics, by sourcing different clays and experimenting with glazes to create what I find beautiful.

Kneading the clay, shaping it, waiting for it to dry, and then applying different glazes. Firing the kiln is the greatest joy and thrill. I want many people to pick up my works, enjoy using them, and feel the richness of life that they bring.

I value the beauty of nature and hope to deepen my connections with people through pottery and my daily activities. I have already collaborated to create new value, such as sake vessels that pair well with Zao Brewery's sake and pottery made with deer bones from hunters in Zao.

Shiroishi City is not famous for pottery. However, it boasts a rich natural environment with snowmelt flowing from the Zao mountain range, and traditional crafts such as washi paper and kokeshi dolls. In the Edo period, there was also the legendary Shiroishi-yaki pottery. I hope to create new crafts in this region.

[Yes, I am a potter.]
