In a workshop at the foot of its mountains, I create pottery based on the theme of \"capturing a moment in nature.\"\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAmong various natural elements, I am particularly drawn to waves, as no two are ever the same, and I try to capture their fleeting expressions in my pottery.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe wave patterns are created through a unique method born from repeated trial and error. I form the prototype of a wave directly from the clay itself, then transfer its undulations onto the surface of the vessel.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBy incorporating inlay techniques where different colored clays are embedded, and by utilizing the variations in glaze thickness caused by the uneven surface, I create a depth distinct from painted designs and three-dimensional waves that change their appearance with the light.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFurthermore, I layer the colors of dawn and changing nature onto the blue gradients created by repeatedly spraying glazes.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eJust as no two wave forms created by nature are identical,\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eeach piece of pottery crafted by hand also possesses unique wave expressions and glaze variations.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI hope that you will enjoy the unique scenery that each piece of pottery presents in your daily life.\u003c\/p\u003e","products":[],"url":"https:\/\/global.kyoto-nokaze.com\/zh\/collections\/mizuki.oembed","provider":"Kyoto nokaze Global","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
