I work mainly on flower vases and sake ware, formed on the wheel or built by hand.
Right now I am putting particular effort into the "Reki" series. Working on each piece — tea bowls, sake ware and more — with time and care, I aim to express the many faces and the possibilities that Bizen ware holds.
Facing the clay and the flame, I treasure the natural landscapes that only Bizen ware produces. My wish is not only to carry the tradition forward, but to make pieces that can be enjoyed in everyday life today.
In 2025 I was certified as a Traditional Craftsman of Bizen ware.

About this Work
An auspicious octagonal plate.
Its shape stands for "all the directions" — the four cardinal points and the four between them — and has long been loved as a form of high formality.
