Matsumitsuyama Pottery is located in Ohi, Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Our studio is nestled in a small town right by the Sea of Japan.
Building upon the tradition of Hagi ware, we lightly incorporate modern sensibilities to create new vessels.
From their colors, shapes, and patterns,
to their textures, warmth, and ease of use,
Matsumitsuyama's vessels are made for the food they hold.

About this Work
側面を削り落とした「面取り」のマグカップ。面ごとに釉の濃淡が変わり、光の当たり方で表情が移ろいます。
色は、やわらかく澄んだ青の「青萩釉」です。
朝のコーヒーから夜のほうじ茶まで、毎日手に取りたくなる一杯の器です。
釉の濃淡や青の出方に、一点ずつ個体差があります。
使い込むほど貫入に色がなじみ、風合いが変わっていく「萩の七化け」もお楽しみください。
