Iwana is a freshwater fish that lives in the clear mountain streams of Japan.
Japanese autumn leaves float on the surface of the water.
The iwana plays in a clear stream where autumn leaves drift.

A piece painted by hand with care one at a time.
Fired more than seven times over,
it is finished slowly, little by little.
The painted areas meet the standards of the Food Sanitation Act,
and the surface is further coated with clear, colourless glass.
In normal use there is no concern of the painting coming away. Use it as a plate,
or display it in a room, where its brilliance looks lovely.
