About this Work
Sakura in Spring Mist
A one-of-a-kind piece of hand-painted fused glass,
drawn from the delicacy of cherry blossoms in spring.
Over a misted ground layered in soft pink, green and translucent white,
the blossoms appear to float lightly across the surface.
The elongated oval lends a contemporary,
elegant note to a traditional Japanese spring motif.
Each blossom is painted by hand before firing,
which gives the glass its depth and its layering of light.
Display it as an art plate,
or use it as an accent in a table setting
that takes something from Japan.
Sakura in Spring Mist
A one-of-a-kind hand-painted fused glass art plate inspired by the delicate beauty of cherry blossoms in spring.
Soft shades of pink, green, and translucent white create a dreamy, mist-like background, while delicate cherry blossoms appear to float gently across the surface. The elongated oval form adds an elegant, contemporary touch to this distinctly Japanese springtime motif.
Each blossom is carefully hand-painted before being kiln-fused into glass, creating depth and a luminous, layered appearance.
This piece can be used as a decorative art plate or as an elegant accent for a Japanese-inspired table setting.

Japanese spring
Japanese glass art
A delicate, radiant piece, painted by hand with care one at a time.
Fired more than seven times over,
it is finished slowly, little by little.
The painted areas meet the standards of the Food Sanitation Act,
and the surface is further coated with clear, colourless glass.
In normal use there is no concern of the painting coming away. Use it as a plate,
or display it in a room, where its brilliance looks lovely.
