About this Work

This size is recommended for one-plate meals and pasta. A ruffle is a decorative pleat, such as a frill or gather. The warm white of the "kohiki" glaze gently blends with any dish. As these items are handmade, some may have slight wobbles, distortions, small holes, or unevenness, and due to the production process, the backstamp may be difficult to see. Additionally, as natural ingredients are used, some items may have small iron spots (black dots) from the clay, or glaze runs, pools, or pinholes. Even when made in the same way, no two pieces are exactly alike. We hope you will appreciate each piece's individual character and flavor.
