手作業で一つ一つ丁寧に彫られた「しのぎ」模様が特徴的です。「しのぎ」模様は、リズミカルで躍動感があり、器に豊かな表情を与えています。祖父から受け継いだ伝統的な窯で作陶しており、信楽焼の伝統を受け継ぎながら、しのぎという独自の特徴を入れています。 「しのぎ(鎬)」は、もともと日本刀の刀身にある山高くなった筋を指す言葉で、陶芸では、ヘラやカンナを使って表面を削り落とし、連続した縦の削り目(しのぎ文)をつけたデザイン技法です。 リム皿、スープカップ、カレー皿、湯呑み、マグカップなど様々な器(うつわ)を制作され、"しのぎ"模様で、食卓を揃えることで、華やかな印象を食卓に与えることができます。
