Matsuura Takaharu

Vessels to be nurtured through use.
Matsumitsuyama Pottery is located in Ohi, Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Our studio is nestled in a small town right by the Sea of Japan.
Building upon the tradition of Hagi ware, we lightly incorporate modern sensibilities to create new vessels.
From their colors, shapes, and patterns,
to their textures, warmth, and ease of use,
Matsumitsuyama's vessels are made for the food they hold.
We hope that by using Hagi ware, whether for serving seasonal ingredients or displaying flowers from your garden, you can feel a little more happiness.
We invite you to cherish Hagi ware at your daily dining table.
