Glass ware

Set one piece of glass on a table of pottery and it reads like a window opening in a wall.

It is the one material light passes through instead of stopping at. Kiriko facets are ground one at a time by hand, so no two catch the light quite the same way. Free cups, wine glasses, dessert glasses. Barley tea, a chilled drink, anything at all becomes a little more of an occasion.

Free cups run 200 to 300ml, wine and dessert glasses a little less. Kiriko is cut glass: a thin coloured layer is laid over clear, then ground back on a wheel one facet at a time, which is why the hue shifts where the layer thins.
