I create pottery that makes the most of Shigaraki clay's texture, resulting in dynamic forms that are unforgettable once seen. My goal is to make cool-looking dishes for use when dining with friends. They are characterized by a deep, mysterious blue, where the blue glaze catches the light to create delicate gradations, spreading a beauty that resembles a natural lake or sky captured within the piece. These dishes offer both practicality and beauty, meant to be admired and used.

This is a striking plate with an octagonal form and sharp yet delicate ridgelines, or "points." Within its well-proportioned shape, Fujiwara Jun's characteristic structural tension and organic softness coexist. The surface is adorned with three-dimensional decoration using the "ittchin" technique (slip trailing), giving it a warmth that feels as if the traces of the artist's hand movements remain.
