Katakuchi
A "katakuchi" is a bowl-shaped vessel with a spout on only one side. "Kata" means one side, and "kuchi" means spout. The name literally describes its shape. Unlike a tokkuri, which has a narrow, closed neck, a katakuchi has a wide-open top, allowing the sake inside to be seen and reached by hand.
