Twisted Handle Mug 260ml / Ooze Melt

This mug features a rounded, soft shape and a distinctive twisted handle.

The "twisted handle" was designed not only as a visual accent but also with ease of gripping in mind when actually in use.

As your fingers naturally hook into the twist of the handle, the mug remains stable even when filled with liquid.

Rather than making the vessel itself unnecessarily heavy, the aim was for it to have just the right weight when filled with a drink.
Because it's a mug used daily, we value such comfort of use.

Each mug is individually carved with a technique called "shinogi" on the exterior, and then metals that develop black-brown or blue hues are brushed over it.

During firing, these colors seep into and blend with the ivory-toned glaze, flowing together.

The way the colors flow and overlap differs for each piece in the kiln.
Even if made in the same way, no two pieces will ever have exactly the same appearance.

A soft ivory, with slightly subdued black-brown and blue expressions.

This mug allows you to casually enjoy, in your daily life, the "vessels where gentleness and subtlety harmonize" that I value in my pottery making.

The capacity is approximately 260ml when full.

It's a vessel designed to naturally reach for during ordinary moments in your daily life, rather than for special occasions, such as taking a short break while drinking coffee or tea, or catching your breath between work tasks.

"Ooze Melt" is named from two words:
"Ooze" = to seep out
"Melt" = to blend in

As you continue to use it, it will gradually become familiar to your hands and your daily life.

We hope it will become a mug that, before you know it, you think, "I always use this one."
