1964 Born in Toyoake, Aichi prefecture
1982 Studies ceramics at the Aichi Prefectural Seto Ceramic Industry Technical School
1983 Joins Kimura Toseien in Bizen
1987 Studies ceramic sculpture under Kimura Gyokushu
1989 Selected for the sculpture section of the Okayama Prefectural Exhibition
1998 Sets up independently, with a kiln in Akaiwa, Okayama prefecture.
Solo exhibitions in Okayama, Kurashiki, Tsuyama, Sendai and elsewhere.
Shown at Okayama Tenmaya, Hankyu Umeda, Ueno and Nagoya Matsuzakaya among others
Head of Kobo La Bizen. Traditional Craftsman of Bizen ware. Member of the Bizen Potters' Association
At this studio we work with oxidation firing and carbonization firing, drawing out the warm, plain beauty the clay holds, and aiming at work in which you can find calm and ease in the course of living.
