I create ceramic works as if drawing poems with clay, using the spirit of Japanese folk crafts, with textures and similarities found in nature. Currently, I am producing the "Ubiquity," "Night Mist," and "Walking Moon" series. All series are accompanied by poems.
The works are vessels inspired by the serene landscapes of Kyoto. Using Shigaraki clay and other materials, I handcrafted everyday vessels that embody the flow of time, filled with breath and warmth, and adorned with over five types of glazes applied with cloth and newspapers to create different expressions.

About this Work
Hozuki (Walk to the Moon)
With gentle pale green drops on a tranquil white base,
In flowing light and shadow,
Intoxicated, walking quietly to the moon in a dream.
This is a semi-porcelain piece with five types of glazes, inspired by the moon I saw in Kyoto. While larger than an ordinary ochoko, it is a small sake cup designed for savoring sake in 4-5 sips, allowing you to fully appreciate its aroma. Highly recommended for sake lovers.
