益子で備前焼の伝統を生かして作陶する大江一人（おおえ・かずと）は、備前焼六姓窯元「桃蹊堂」で６年間修行を積んだ後、2011年から岡山・備前で作家活動を開始。2015年に栃木県益子町に工房を移し、藁を巻いて焼成する「緋襷」技法をはじめとした無釉・焼締め作品を中心に制作を続けています。伝統を継承しつつも、現代的なシャープなフォルムを取り入れた作品は、使うほどに育ち、土と火の記憶を手に伝えてくれる器として高く評価されています。
