With a studio located in the nature-rich environment of Wakayama, I pursue the expressive possibilities that earth and glaze can create. My work is characterized by a vibrant and original "world of color" that seems to capture the fleeting beauty of nature.
Combining sensibilities and techniques cultivated through graduating from a university in the United States, I create unique expressions where coincidence and inevitability intersect in the kiln, such as dripping flowing glazes, beautiful crystals, and stunning gradations.
In addition to prioritizing ease of use in daily life, I also value the presence of each piece as an art object that can brighten a space simply by being placed there. I invite you to pick up and experience these works, which add color and inspiration to everyday life.
