Npenpe Cup, Deep Sea Blue — Mino

Born in Tokyo in 1997. After working as a hairdresser, a transformative encounter with clay led to a move to Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture. In 2023, completed studies at the Tajimi City Pottery Design and Technical Center.

Currently working as a ceramic artist, creating a wide range of works from tableware to objets.

Drawing inspiration from marine life, natural formations, and cell-like clusters, the artist incorporates protrusions, holes, and undulations to create pieces that evoke a sense of living organisms.

The artist is drawn to the coexistence of opposing elements within a single entity, such as beauty and eeriness, strength and fragility.

While valuing textures that invite touch and unique forms, the artist aims to create works that, despite being vessels, possess an organic quality, stimulating the viewer's senses and imagination.
