About this Work
This is a wooden tray made by applying washi paper to wood and then coating it with lacquer. Each step of the process is carried out by Mr. Chono himself.
While allowing you to enjoy the texture of washi paper, this tray is also washable, making it suitable for various uses beyond serving tea sweets. Whether you place plates on it, use it directly, or as a trinket tray, the possibilities are endless.
The raised rim is a key feature. The octagonal shape with its mitered corners creates a softer aesthetic.
Thanks to its water and oil resistance, you can also serve food directly on it. After use, if there are oily residues, please wash gently with detergent.
