About this Work
A flat plate from the “wood” series, built on the image of growth rings, in the hassun size (about 24cm). A ring-like texture spreads across the whole surface, and at its centre the metallic glaze distinctive to Kawasumi Tomokazu gleams. Place food on it and a curious landscape appears, somewhere between clay and wood.
As a main plate, for pasta, curry or a one-plate spread. * Because each is handmade, the shape, colouring and flow of the glaze vary from piece to piece. Please enjoy them as the character of each work.
