In the forests of Hokkaido, I create my works, inspired daily by the familiar plants, animals, and other elements of nature around me.
Memories of landscapes seen in childhood, recollections of journeys to foreign lands, words that suddenly come to mind, poems and stories I've written myself, accidental misinterpretations—these all serve as the wellsprings for my pottery, taking shape and becoming the paintings I create.

About this Work
Inspired by the presence of creatures abundant in daily life amidst Hokkaido's vast nature, I create ceramic works with animal motifs. This piece is a large plate evoking Hokkaido's flower fields. I've painted the back as well, hoping you'll enjoy the grand nature of Hokkaido.
